Joyce Hohenadl
District I – Supervisor Buster
Joyce Hohenadl was selected to serve the First District of Riverside County as a member of the Historical Commission since 2006. She was the Co-Chair of the Historical Commission. Joyce is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and a former Real Estate Deputy Commissioner II for the Department of Real Estate. Currently she is President of the Lake Elsinore Princess Foundation, which is restoring a 1923 glass bottom boat from Catalina Island and Treasurer of the Lake Elsinore Citizens Committee. Mrs. Hohenadl is a member of the Lake Elsinore Historical Society and helped in locating postcards, researching, organizing and proofreading for the Postcard History Series of Lake Elsinore published by Arcadia Publishing. She serves as State Preservation Chairman and District XI Chaplain for the Daughters of the American Revolution. During the last two years, she was the Regent for the Luiseno Chapter, Temecula Valley.

Velma Hickey
District II – Supervisor Tavaglione
Velma Hickey, a Commissioner for the Historical Commission, is a 26-year resident of the City of Norco and dedicated to the historic preservation of all the cities within Riverside County. Mrs. Hickey is a graduate of UCI. She has held the positions of President, Secretary, and Treasurer for the Norco Chamber of Commerce and served as Commissioner on the Community Service Commission for the City of Norco and the Streets and Trails & Community Service Commission. She also served as Secretary for the Norco Charter Commission; President of the Norco Historical Society for five terms; Fair Chairman for the Norco Valley Fair for twelve years; Congressional Candidate for the 43rd district (write in Candidate); Lecturer for St. Mel's Catholic Church for eight years; and member of the board for the Norco Chamber of Commerce for 15 years.

Darell Farnbach
District III – Chair
Darell Farnbach, a commissioner for the Riverside County Historical Commission, has been a hairdresser for over forty years. He served as a typist for the US Army in Germany during the 1960s, and dabbled with antique dealing and interior design at times. Each Sunday afternoon Darell is at the Little Temecula History Center greeting visitors and unfolding the layers of history they are interested in. And whenever he has time, he researches answers to visitors’ questions or restores something else to display.

Robert Lindquist
District III – Supervisor Stone
Rob Lindquist, a Commissioner for the Riverside County Historical Commission, is a lifelong resident of Hemet, California for who present and past are inseparable. Mr. Lindquist has the longest tenure of all the Historical Commissioners. He took his seat in 1992. His passion for local history grew out of the realization that he was fortunate in his youth to have witnessed Southern California when it was idyllic, its communities close and memorable, their neighborhoods, agricultural, and the land full of bright promise. His grandparents were community pioneers in Hemet and nearby Perris, and Rob spent many precious hours listening to stories and tales of Riverside County's early days. Mr. Lindquist is a University of California Riverside graduate, a former Hemet Mayor, and when he retired from the Lake Hemet Municipal Water District in 2006, he was the General Manager. Mr. Lindquist has acted as President of the Hemet Heritage Foundation and chairman of its annual Pioneer Picnic Reunion. His favorite activities include singing, guitar, philosophy, cycling and is most passionate about his collection of old roses.

Jennie Kelly
District IV
Jennie Kelly was appointed to the Historical Commission by Supervisor Roy Wilson in 2009. She is Director of the Salton Sea History Museum and Chair of the East Valley Historical Society. Kelly has also served on the North Shore Community Council since 2005 and is Chair of the Coachella Valley Historical Preservation Alliance. In 2009, she was profiled in Who’s Who in America and has been listed in Who’s Who of American Women since 1984. In 2008, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, on behalf other Riverside County Historical Commission’s Award Program, honored Kelly for her outstanding contribution to local history. Finally, in 2010, the Palm Springs Modern Committee honored Kelly with their Leadership in Preservation award.

Herbert Spencer, Jr.
District V
I was born on May 11, 1939, in South Gate, California. I was raised in Eagle Rock, that is a part of the City of Los Angeles. I went to Eagle Rock Elementary, Jr. High School and High School. I went one year to the Glendale Jr. College. I took a summer job at the So. Cal. Gas Co. in 1958 and stayed there 34 years. I retired as the Customer Service Field Supervisor for the desert, in Pam Desert. I joined the Gilman Ranch Hands board in 2004, and then had a problem with cancer. When I came back to the board in last part of 2004 I asked if I was still on the board and was told that I was now the President. I joined the Pass Historical Society in 2009, and I am now the treasurer. I was honored in 2010 and was made a Historical Commissioner.
