Visitors will be able to feed the Butterflies when visiting the Screen tents.

Children will have the opportunity to make a Butterfly craft.

Visitors can take a walk along our flowing Sunnyslope creek under the canopy of the trees.

Oh where, oh where, has my little toad gone? Oh where, oh whre can he be? With his bumpy green skin and legs so long, oh where, oh where can he be? The toad is here of course! meet our resident Toad named Bumpy! Create a Toad craft to take home.

Eggs make excellent homes. Lots of baby animals grow inside of them. Different kinds of animals lay different kinds of eggs. You can decorate an egg and create a nest for your egg.

What stands on two feet and says, “Quack, quack?” A duck, of course. But these just aren’t any ducks. They are Mallards-the most common duck in the world! Male mallards have bright green feathers on their heads. Visit us and make a paper origami mallard, then walk our children’s trail quietly and see if you find a mallard duck swimming!

Family event!

Bring your beach chair or towel to sit with us to watch our summer camp kick-off Movie in the Park. There will be crafts for kids, tour our exhibit room at the nature center, and walk our children’s trail before it gets dark. There will be popcorn, and assorted treats. Families may bring their dinners and picnic in the park! Bring a flashlight. We hope to see you!

Adults to young adults.
You will learn how to weave a pine needle basket and tule mat. The class is taught by an experienced basket weaver from the Mescalero Apache nation. The workshop includes materials and lunch. Reservations are required. Telephone or email for a registration.

The allocation meeting will allow user groups to review the Sports Park policies and procedures, field allocation and permit process, and more, in preparation for the Sports Park’s grand opening scheduled for Saturday, April 14. This meeting will mark the first opportunity to reserve the sports fields. The meeting is open to the public and it is free to attend.

The Sports Park is located at the northwest corner of Crestmore Road and Loring Ranch Road in Jurupa Valley. The 32-acre park features a total of 15 fields, including four full-size, marked and lighted synthetic-turf fields, two large lighted natural-turf fields and 9 smaller natural-turf fields. The park also features concession facilities, a playground, drinking fountains, a walking path, 8 picnic shelters, and over 400 parking spaces.
