RivCoParks COVID-19 Updates and Info Resources

Welcome to Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District’s COVID-19 Updates and Information Resources webpage. Please check back regularly as we will be updating this webpage with new information as it becomes available.

The health and safety of visitors to Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCoParks) and all who take care of it is our priority.   RivCoParks is following orders of the State of California as they continue to issue guidance on preparing and protecting Californians from the pandemic disease.

COVID-19 guidance provided by the state can be found at the Governor’s Office via the California Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

We are also working closely with our local county and public health officials.  We continue to monitor  our operations on a daily basis to provide healthy outdoor options in our parks and trails, while emphasizing the need for safe, physical distancing.

Currently our parks and trails are open, but with limited access to protect public health from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The “What’s Open” section lists everything that is now open or closed at RivCoParks.  Our individual sites have varying access therefore, you will want to also visit the webpages of the park or trail of interest to you.  We have provided links within the What’s Open section of our individual sites to help get you there quickly.

We understand that many Californians are eager to spend time in the outdoors given the public health crisis, but it is important to remember that current public health directives limit gatherings to individual family households of no more than 10 persons. These restrictions are in place and are necessary to protect all Californians from the spread of COVID-19.

Californians are encouraged to “Stay Home. Save Lives” by exercising in their local neighborhoods and walking/biking into local public outdoor spaces that remain open for activities, provided they maintain a safe physical distance from others.
