No Poppy Apocalypse in 2020

Last year over 150,000 people converged on Walker Canyon in Lake Elsinore to view the grand display of the incredible and rare poppy super bloom. Interstate 15 became a dangerous parking lot, people were fainting from the heat, injuries occurred, a dog was bitten by a rattlesnake, and delicate blooms were trampled.

While it's time for poppy blooms to start again, a super bloom is not expected. We also have the pandemic this year causing closures. Here's a video update from our friends at the City of Lake Elsinore on the poppy blooms.
