Special Events

Nestled in the rolling hills of Winchester, CA, beautiful Lake Skinner Recreational Area offers visitors expansive natural vistas and invigorating recreational opportunities, including camping, picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, sailing, and fishing. All boating activities must be non-body contact (no swimming, skiing, etc.)

For day trips, Lake Skinner offers two shade shelters and picnic benches and barbecues throughout the park for picnics and other gatherings. Camping sites offers picnic benches and fire rings. Most away-from-home needs can be met with a visit to the well-stocked camp store.

RivCoParks offers many opportunities for individuals and organizations to participate in or host events at many of our venues. These venues include, regional parks, historic museums, nature centers, recreation facilities and trails – all of which provide unique environments for your next event.

RivCoParks Events

Trails Events
RivCoParks also offers groups the opportunity to hold trail clean-up and ride events on its over 140 miles of developed trails. Many non-profit and private organizations adopt trails through the Adopt-A-Trail Program or coordinate a one-time event through the special events application process.

Private Events
Special events are a wonderful way for companies, groups, and organizations to enjoy a special occasion ranging from dog shows, family reunions, and track meets at one of our spectacular parks. Activities including food and merchandise vendors, live performances, and musical entertainment are also welcome to make any special event more joyous.

Film or Still Photo Shoots
RivCoParks offers breathtaking scenery for any type of photo shoot. Whether it is for a school project or for a commercial spot, when it comes to nature – we have what you’re looking for.

Commercial Filming and Photography Permits
The District adheres to County Ordinance 634 regulating commercial filming within the unincoporated areas of the County. Applications for Filming are submitted through the Inland Empire Film Commission.
